What are your Sunday plans?
This past weekend was a long one. There is a lot to love about long weekends.
I loved two consecutive hot cups of tea. Instead of the usual tepid first one and and stone cold second. (Throwing caution to the wind, I did try for a third…with tepid results.)
I also loved finally turning a corner with the mixy-matchy ‘I’m really not sure about this coming together’ blanket. I’m still not sure, but not as not sure as before.
We explored, and visited and spent time with loved family. Ending in long waves out car windows until they were just specks in the distance.
There were cousins and sunsets, long talks and games.
Not to forget that there was also cake. Scrumptious cakes on long weekends, bought from farmers markets and eaten with loved ones. That’s a pretty good long weekend I think.
In my kitchen…
is some beautiful camomile tea…
perfect to go into my new tea cup, given to me by a lovely friend. I’m sure things taste better when you love the cup you are drinking from.
In my kitchen… is sitting a birthday book, Cake Wrecks…. oh some of these are lip biting.
In my kitchen… sits a gorgeous bunch of flowers. There is something quite lovely about finding a bunch of flowers waiting for you on your door step.
In my kitchen…. sits the latest Sanctuary magazine, fittingly focusing on green kitchens. Helps with the dreaming this one does…
In My Kitchen is a monthly post done by the favourite foodie on her street- Celia at Fig Jam and Lime Cordial

Now for something a little bit different

I’ve been tagged by the lovely Choclette from Chocolate Log Blog to answer a few questions
Lots of energy within, but I’m having trouble knowing where to direct it. So many things to do, so many things I want to do… and I want to do them all.
A few things I’m loving at the moment…
creating with The Monkeys, using buttons and felt
my new old couch… or is it my old new couch?
making simple honey biscuits
hearing Little Monkey describe something as… wuvley
a new favourite cafe, that serve with vintage saucers and proper teapots
5.30am cups of chai. A magical time of day. It feels like bonus time, extra time. The Monkeys are (hopefully) still asleep and Mr Chocolate is long gone to work. Just me and the moment of a new dawning day…
