Well hello there 2016…I’ve been expecting you.
I just had a quick peek back to see what I’d written for the beginning of 2015…it seems I wished for a connected year. I’m happy to say, yes, yes it was. A deliciously intensely packed full of goodness connected year. There were paths that emerged, choices made, with options that were carefully considered and taken.
I’m also happy to say an incredibly full, connected and diverse life was lived, can’t ask for much more than that I say.
Some of those choices that were taken might become evident over the next little while within these blog pages, while others might take a while to be shaken out while I work out the how’s, where’s and who’s, (hang tight with those ones, but we will get there.)
One that I can say for now is, well, I moved. Yep, that was a big one. Still a cityslicker, with hippy tendencies and farm girl aspirations, just with a little more elbow room to move now. It’s a bit exciting to say, my making loaves of sourdough over the washing machine are behind me…hoorrah to that one too!
So new beginnings, a new start, new ideas, and a brand spanking new year…
2016 let’s get cracking.
*************
But what about you? What have you been up to? How was 2015? What does the brand spanking new 2016 year hold for you? Plans, ideas anything you want to share?
*** Also, also, also….it has come to my attention that for some wordpressy special reason there has been a glitch along the line with the email notifications and people receiving them when there is a new post up. If you haven’t been getting the heads up there is a new post email, please subscribe again and hopefully that will kick-start things once more. I haven’t stopped blogging, I didn’t stop blogging, a glitch somewhere amongst it all is to blame and until I nut that one out, just hold tight and hopefully all will be as it should be shortly. In the mean time, keep checking in, I’d hate for you to miss out on a post.
Happy new year Brydie! How lovely to see you at the top of my much neglected blog feed :). Your 2015 sounds like it was fab…and I must agree, mine was too. My word for the year was Embrace…I wanted to really embrace life, opportunities and fun that came my way. How’s I went away no fewer than 7 times last year, all for fun! What? Anyway, 2016 is already looking like lots of changes for me…both kids in new schools, a new job for me, hopefully soon! And who knows what else 🙂 looking forward to seeing some of your changes in these pages xo

7 times Sara, that is indeed some good stuff right there. I adore reading your blog and your words of wisdom, so I look forward to seeing what you get up to this year as well. Onwards and upwards for your delicious writing too!
(ps. New schools, oooh eek, I’m so nervous about this one just quietly.)

So glad that 2015 was a good one for you Brydie! Connectedness is a beautiful goal, one that enriches both ourselves and others, methinks 🙂 And wow, a move… that’s definitely a massive change that will hopefully bring much more room (literally and figuratively!) for creativity over this next year. The previous year has been a difficult one for me, so in all honesty, I’m glad to see the back of it. Praying for much goodness as the new year begins xx

Connectedness really does doesn’t it. I’ve tried to think of another word for this year, but I kind of still like that one too. It just seems to work on so many levels, I just have to remember to utilise it.
I hope 2016 is a far more tranquil one for you Laura.

Sounds amazing Brydie. Big high five and a warm hug! Connectedness and diversity through community is so what I crave in 2016. It’s a bittersweet end of an era for me and a start of a new one. First step my professional placement in a public library for my Bachelor of Information Studies. I can’t wait to get out there and make my contribution locally. I got the heads up on your the big move at the end the of your Milkwood Permaculture post. I had to look up “Novocastrian”. Not a type of fish but you are a bit of a mermaid yes:) Exciting big change! Hope this means more bench space for your fabulous sourdough baking.

hehe 🙂 I’ve always wanted to be a mermaid Zena…always. Sigh, probably 2 cm more bench space, but Im working on it, at least the washing machine isn’t there, so thats an upgrade.
Really exciting year to come for you though! That’s awesome. I adore that whole line there…’connectedness and diversity through community’. Yep, that is definitely where it’s at.

Your 2015 sounded ace! Yay to moving too. 🙂 my 2015 was a big growth year, lots of hard lessons were learned. I can however report that holidays thus far have been most pleasing, lots of rest, goals being written, plans being made and the down time I so wanted is a thing. 🙂 I am looking forward to a creative year and some travel, hoping for India in February and Turkey later in the year. I do hope your 2016 is filled with all the awesome. Xo

That’s a bit excellent Anna 🙂 India and Turkey will be awesome. The fact that my passport is expired with no plans of it being renewed is just a sad case of affairs really…travel for me you good thing.

Moving is always such sweet sorrow. We were walking the boys yesterday and saw people packing things into a shipping container, moving on to a new life. The decision to move and the bit where you close the door on your new home after you have arranged yourself artfully and with distinction are the good bits. The actual moving is pure, unmitigated BOLLOCKS! I hope you have recovered sufficiently. Life has been sweet so far in 2016. I found a 4 leaf clover when I was watering and figure that means I will never be short of a bit of grass if I need it. I just have to open the book that Stevie-boy pressed it in and there it will be. Purest green. Just how I like it :). Here’s to lots more adventures, experiments, connections and inspiration in 2016.
