Mr Chocolate ate a very large dripping meaty kebab for lunch and wasn’t feeling so fit and wholesome afterwards.
This salad for dinner was the antidote…
and all was aligned in the world once more.
Kebab Antidote Salad
steamed sweet potato
one bunch of finely chopped flat leaf parsley
handful of finely chopped mint
1/2 cup natural yogurt
1/4 cup olive oil
finely chopped chilli
salt to taste
handful of raw sunflower kernels
you make simple food look amazing brydie and your presentation is always beautiful..lucky mr chocolate and babes..x
thank you kind Jane 🙂
Sure sounds like the perfect ounter point indeed Brydie- yummo!
My sort of fix me up………or allows me to enjoy a yummy sweet afterwards. Size of portions is important!
I don’t understand those large dripping meat filled kebabs. Mr Bite has a chicken one occasionally and drowns it in garlic mayonnaise and I am never impressed! This salad is far more appealing and I am sure would be a perfect antidote too 🙂
Looks like just what the doctor ordered – just hope it didn’t make him fit to go out and eat more kebabs 🙂
That looks so light and healthy!
Antidote is a good name for it!
I remember those days! Mr Tony can’t do that anymore (he just turned 60) but in those old dripping kebab days I would try to balance it out when he did. Good job Brydie.
My Archie has had those kebabs! They’re eaten in the early hours of the morning on the way home after a sordid night out (I’m not suggesting your husband was up to anything sordid!) But when sobriety kicked in, those kebabs often resurfaced! xx
A lovely salad. It may be frugal friday, but that dish is rich in nutrients!
I’m embarrassed to admit it is usually me requiring the culinary antidote, often after eating a massive custard doughnut. This salad looks awesome Brydie. Great way to use up leftover veggies, and I love the crunchy scattering of sunflower kernels.
