I had grand plans of taking lots of pictures when I visited Cobargo. I didn’t though. It seems I got caught up in the charm of this lovely little south coast NSW town instead.
When I should have been taking beautiful pictures of the rolling green lush hills surrounding the town, I was hanging half out of the car window drinking it all in instead.
With locally made ice cream, a health food cafe to rival any big city-sider one, an abundance of yoga classes to choose from, retro clothing shop, and an intriguing Old Butter Factory that surely is begging for someone to reside in and write their adventure filled memoirs.
This is a tiny town that I whole heartedly want to visit again. Cobargo and all your lovely charm, I will be back.

I do love these old towns and the South Coast has quite a few of them. I haven’t yet visited Cobargo so I’ll put that on my to-do list. Every time I visit a time like this I wonder about moving.

We love a bit of country town exploring. A couple of weeks ago we chanced upon Toora, a tiny dairy town in Western Gippsland, Vic. Nearly filled my camera with photos of the tiny old shops.

Love Cobargo, great town and in nearby Bega they even have a doctor and naturopath in the same office and they refer their patients to each other!! South Coast is a happening place!
Smaller towns get even cooler when you live there, people in the shops know you by name and know what stuff you like – eg. the hard ware shop man is always jokingly trying to get me to buy Round Up when he knows I wouldn’t buy it in a million years.

I love teeny tiny little towns and hamlets. They are SO self sufficient. Everyone knows everyone else, everyone looks out for everyone else. There is no better place to be and coastal towns have that gentle allure of the sea. A win-win situation 🙂

Hooray for the gentle allure of the sea Narf. Anytime, the sea is a beautiful soothing remedy for …well, pretty much everything. (oh sorry, I must have got side tracked, we are talking about small towns now aren’t we. 🙂

Small seaside towns are therapeutic. Think “Sea Change” I rest my case :). (Note to self, get out the Sea Change videos. It’s time for another marathon 🙂 )

It looks like I need to visit Cobargo again soon. I love Tilba. Rolling green hills, old buildings, the big organic veggie garden on the corner as I head out of town, a lovely little garden shop. Mmmm, I need to go again soon. xo

I live and grew up in this area 🙂 be sure to check out nearby Tilba and the lovely shops and cheese factory. Then Il Passaggio restaurant (where you can take home their own sourdough) vintage shop and locally made gelato in bermagui xx

I live in merimbula which is about 60km south of Cobargo.
I have a friend in Candelo which is so beautiful with rolling hills as far as the eye can see. This summer has been more kind this year so it’s still looking nice and green with all the rain 🙂
