A few months ago, I was lucky enough to be invited to the beautiful occasion of a baby being born. Being invited as a doula and as a birth photographer, gave me the wonderful priviledge of being both support person and memory capturer.
While I would adore to tell you all of the gentle birthing story of this beautiful couple, it’s not my story to tell.
What I can say though is, it was an honour to be there. And it was an honour to be a tiny part of their parenting journey.
I can also say that mama, midwife and I all have the same tea cups. These ones, that I absolutely love, and get comments on all the time. Quite a beautiful coincidence really.
That is a beautiful coincidence. And what an honour to be invited in – I am sure they were also grateful for your presence and will forever treasure your photos.

What a most awesome experience for a photographer Ms Cityhippyfarmgirl and what an honour to document someones first breath. You are a very lucky person and that cup is the essence of the moment. That blissful relief coupled with that rush of maternal bliss that only occurs when we give birth. 🙂

That “wonderful rush” is the only thing that got my son 2 sisters (that and the way that time fades memories 😉 )

What an honour and privliege. You would of captured this special birthing occasion so so beautifully. This tea cup celebrates the birthing woman delightfully and openly which is often hidden in secret. From memory this is the special tea cup range your husband got for you from England?

That truly is an honour. How very special. When I was a nurse, I loved my time in the delivery suites the most. Such an important and significant time in any woman’s life and what a privilege to witness the miracle of birth xx
