Loving…
the jumping boy
the tiny girl
and flowers from kind neighbours.
Loving…
never underestimating the power of a dog drinking bowl in the park, along with a found feather. All kinds of fun.
Loving…
overhearing someone happily sing along with Mariah Carey in their kitchen… that paused smiling anticipatory moment, of waiting to see if they were going to go for ‘the big one.’
Loving…
being asked for a bread lesson. That could be one more person and family with a really useful (and easy!) life skill.
Loving…
finding tiny pockets of surprising greenery and colour in corners most unexpected. Finding that little green, in the every day… that’s important to this city girl. Really important.

What have you been loving?
[“Often life’s pleasures pass us by simply because we don’t take a moment to focus on them… Make a point of noticing everyday something that uplifts your spirit or tickles your heart… Stop to breathe in the joy of this moment and then tell someone about it. Share your joy and revel in it. When your joy is savoured, and then shared, it is magnified…” ROBIN GRILLE]
Love the photo of the jumping legs and the hands on the table. I wish I could have heard the woman singing Mariah Carey. Big question…did she make that note?

Yes – I also want to know if she made the big note!!

Gorgeous – though I was worried you it was a dangling boy in the top photo – ha ha! Such a cute photo! I was really pleased to be asked for some sourdough starter by a friend. That’s one more piece of your starter wisdom going around the world as I always think it came from you in a virtual inspirational way.

It’s so good to pass on the starter isn’t it. A little piece of potential bready delciousness heading on out.

Oh Brydie I can’t remember the name of those yellow flowers but I do remember they used to grow on the superwide median strips that were on Anzac Parade when I was a little girl and in the “paddock” behind our Chifley house.

I should find some seeds of them and scatter them everywhere I go. Such a cheery little flower that would look quite lovely popping up in more surprising city corners.

I think they are a type of Coreopsis or Tickseed.

Heartwarming family pics Brydie. Hydrangeas reminds me of my childhood; we had them in our front yard and they greeted me every morning and afternoon.

To me they go with double brick surburban 1950’s houses, fluffy cats, sprinklers on in summer and thrown neglected newspapers to front doors 🙂 Image evoking little things!

You just reminded me…time to crank up Bohemian Rhapsody one more time…”Stevie-boy and dogs…block your ears!” ;). I love the rain that is pouring down as I type this. I have another water barrel to fill in Sanctuary and this rain is watering the garden and filling up water futures. I might not be able to get out into the garden but I can certainly spend the day doing something else. Loved the green. It’s still green here and this rain should keep the status quo. When we lived in W.A. it was predominately straw coloured by the first day of summer. By the way, “a pinch and a punch for the first day of the month and NO RETURNS!” 😉 Just waiting to pounce on Steve …

Thank you for this beautiful post. It reminded me of those days when I see sunshine all around, and was a very timely reminder at this frantic time of year that it’s always there…if only I slow down enough to notice it!
Amidst all the rushing I’ve been loving picking glossy, fat cherries with my family from a friends laden tree 🙂
