loving long summer afternoon beach trips that take us far, far away
watching them love easy coconut milk mango ice cream
loving watching him be so mesmerised by the sea
loving the simplicity of tasty food in its own bowl

I wasn’t sure whether to continue my loving posts this year. However, a chaotic week came and went and all I had wanted to think about was the simple things I had been loving lately. A grounding, a connection and a reminder that not all parts of our life at the moment is a whirl wind of clocks, places to be and at times seeming chaos. There are simple moments entwined within the chaotic ones and they are the ones I want to most remember.
What have you been loving lately?
[“Often life’s pleasures pass us by simply because we don’t take a moment to focus on them… Make a point of noticing everyday something that uplifts your spirit or tickles your heart… Stop to breathe in the joy of this moment and then tell someone about it. Share your joy and revel in it. When your joy is savoured, and then shared, it is magnified…” ROBIN GRILLE]
Coconut Mango Ice Cream
In a blender, add two big bananas, one can of coconut milk, 1/3 cup of sugar and whizz it up. Pour it out into a dish and blend some fresh mango. Swirl that in too. Freeze it and either run a fork through every half an hour or so until you are ready to eat it or bring it out about 20 minutes before you want to eat it, running a fork through it, (the banana content should stop it freezing completely solid.)
i’m glad you’ve decided to continue with these posts..they are very special brydie..i’m loving the rain we had last night..the first for more than two months..i lay awake just enjoying the sound and the smell of the rain on the warm earth wafting through my open window..pity about the mozzies! x

Jane I know that feeling as amazingly we had rain last night too. I’d almost forgotten what it sounded like.
I hope there is more to come…without the pesky whiney blood sucking ones.

Love your Loving posts Brydie. Do continue! They always seem to arrive at the right time; ie. just as I’m enjoying my morning coffee while the rest of the house is asleep. That avocado snack is perfect – there’s really nothing nicer than a perfectly ripe avo (and a pretty spoon)! Your swirly ice cream looks gorgeous – we’ve been experimenting with home-made ice creams too. Definitely the weather for it.

Wonderful Heidi. I think a cold winters beach is just as enticing as a summer one. It can be so beautifully dramatic.

I love the look of your mango/coconut ice cream. I find the first few weeks when the kids go back to school very frantic – there’s so much on including covering books, information nights, swimming carnivals and then the after school activities xx

Oh. My. Goodness. It has been frantic alright. I’m hoping this week is a little calmer.

Brydie I love your posts and life wouldn’t be the same without them, so I’m so glad you’re continuing. That mango ice cream looks delish! Personally I am loving a feeling of reawakening, and a renewed zest for life after a hard six months of struggle, angst and doubt.

I headed out just before sunrise this morning to walk Earl and as I walked the sun slowly stretched and woke up the land. We had a bit of rain, a few spots, overnight and everything started to wake up with the sun and smelled amazing…just watching the sun spread over the countryside was a simple and most breathtaking experience. I just stood there watching and feeling incredibly privilaged. Lovely, simple and soul satisfying on this wonderful summer Sunday 🙂 I LOVE the look of that icecream! I just saved it and off to pin before I lose it. Cheers for that 🙂

All of your posts are beautiful Brydie, I love what you capture. That icecream is a work of art…love the enamel too!
At the moment I am loving the drop in temperatures at our place…cooking a roast dinner to celebrate actually being able to turn the oven on without over heating the whole house. Happy Sunday to you x

Wonderful Jane. I hope with the drop in temperature there might be a drop of rain for you thrown in for good measure?
