In my kitchen sits a beautiful gifted hand made bowl, with tahini balls in it. Without these little balls of energy, well…I’d be a lot less energetic. This is the recipe I gave originally, but they really are so super-duper easy to cater to your own taste buds and using whatever’s on hand in your own kitchen. (These had added dried dates and LSA in them.)
Oh radish, talk to me… tell me your dinner plans. Tell me what else to do with you besides chopping you up in a salad, or up top of a stir fry for a bit of crunch. Speaakkkk to me radishes.
In my kitchen sits this little timer, and without it I would say 90% of my baking would be burnt. It’s still not a sure thing of not burning everything in the oven, (mul.ti.task.ing) but it helps.
Pink and quite tarty, (the drink that is.) I bought this, as really who could resist it with a label like that. She was quite delicious tasting in a bitter, sarsaparilla kind of way. Now I’m just not sure what to do with the bottle.
On my kitchen floor sits my little giggling helper. Arms and legs are flying. She likes to smell things as I cook with them, taking her job very seriously, and is currently rather taken by the smell flat leaf parsley. (Although I did catch her eyeing off my chocolate yesterday. She looked keen…very keen.)
As for what type of mixer will be sitting on top of my kitchen bench? Still not sure but thank you so much for everyone’s input with what they use and like. Invaluable help. So thank you, you’re all awesome.

I love the little dish with the Tahini balls. And what a great timer. I have a timer with a magnet on it so it is permanently stuck to my fridge which is a good thing because it’s less likely to become lost. I would have a lot of burnt offerings if it wasn’t for that timer too! And so lovely to meet you last Friday and your little girl too. Such a shame you had to leave early xx

I do love these posts. I also love these things, and please do keep that bottle (although I’m not sure what you should do with it either). I have a timer quite similar to yours but less bright – it is an apple, and sliver in colour. It is an essential though because my oven timer is such that it turns the oven off when the timer finishes!! I don’t know who thought of that, but it is no good to me with my check-at-20-minutes-if-it-might-need-25 sort of approach.

Kari that is so seriously annoying, I’m annoyed for you. Why would they make an oven like that? So much of my cooking is by sight and not by the exact time I’d be lost with an oven like that.
My annoying appliance is the microwave that continues to beep at intervals until I open the door. Screaming at me, hurry up!

Nothing better than a baby in the kitchen! Let us know if you figure out something interesting to do with the radish – Ive got lots coming in too, but other than salads, or just eat them whole, not a lot of ideas myself.

Use the radishes just as you would a turnip. I like to steam them and serve them as ‘baby pink turnips’. Your daughter is waiting for you to look the other way so she can get that chocolate! Cute!

I have always love your kitchen, Brydie, but that little girl sure brightens it up! And the bottle? Fill it with a bouquet of saucy flowers-(big , bright and colorful) and enjoy it as a vase. Then,in the future, give it away to someone you love with a bouquet for them.

Your kitchen looks delicious Brydie! Love the capsicum timer-I was at a stage where I had 5 timers but I wore them all out which was really disappointing as I had become attached to some of them! :S
