Listen to the breeze
the breeze says out, lets go out
drawing us to
takeaway coffees
the weekend paper
she wants to be close, the closeness draws you in
they want to go fast, scooters can go fast
beauty collected in colours by small hands
snatched conversations
dreams and thoughts
dappled sunlight surrendering to dusk
the breeze says home, lets go home.
“We spend most of our time and energy in a kind of horizontal thinking. We move along the surface of things…but there are times when we stop. We sit still. We lose ourselves in a pile of leaves or its memory. We listen, and breezes from a whole other world begin to whisper.”
James Carroll
The winds are always siren- calling out, moving everything in their paths, finding ways into the smallest spaces – sending those not committed to their place scattering across the fields!
Love your pictures- your imagery- your Autumn season.
Beautiful, Brydie!

You have reminded me of beautiful autumn days in Sydney with that nip in the air. It is very wet up here in the north of the State – so boggy we leave footprints wherever we walk in the garden. Joy

Sarah it’s wordpress’s fault. If you have a google email account which you are logged into it makes you log into your old blog account. A big pest for a lot of people.

Looks like it’s going to be a nice autumn. Or already is a nice autumn. This flipped season thing is confusing!

Beautiful. I love the contemplative time of autumn, and you’ve captured it so elegantly in this post with your words and pictures.

Don’t worry it still twists my mind as well, the whole opposite season thing. I was trying to explain to Monkey Boy how the world turns the other day. His eyes got very BIG!
