a changed beat
different air
cool nights and sunny days
autumn is here
along with school holidays
long walks in the park
the crackle of brown leaves under foot
perfect to build up and then run through
changing colours, changing light
changing rhythms
long days and aimless running
need lots of snacks
healthy ones
Tahini Balls
1 cup whole oats
1 cup desiccated coconut
1/3 cup unhulled tahini
1/3 cup honey
1/3 cup hazelnut meal
1 tsp vanilla
sesame seeds
Mix it all together, add a couple of tablespoons of water just to bind it. Roll into balls with dampened hands, then roll in raw sesame seeds. Keep in the fridge.
Such beautiful photos – lovely snaps of my favourite season 🙂 It sounds like it’s being enjoyed in your house too. I’m sure the tahini balls are helping keep energy levels up!
(PS. Remember when we didn’t like tahini? 😉 )

Hi, I’ve made your Capsicum Sweet Chille sauce over and over again and everybody loves it. Do you have a tomato base chillie sauce with a bit of an umph!
Sorry for copying your recipes

Glad you have liked the capsicum sweet chilli sauce recipe Biscuits 🙂 Unfortunately I don’t have anything tomato based. I never seem to have excess tomatoes.

Autumn is a really lovely time of year. I love the look of these tahini balls and they must be a great nutritious snack full of energy. When you say, ‘unhulled tahini’ is that the same as tahini paste?
LikeLike
Sure is. You can get it hulled or unhulled. An organic unhulled I find much, much nicer than the regular. I wrote about it here. You can also get a black tahini which I’m yet to try.

Loving autumn this year!! We’ve just been away for an overnighter up to the Murray and the light was gorgeous on the river.
And how timely is this recipe? You know I just made a batch of hummus over Easter and for the recipe went out and bought a jar of un-hulled tahini..because I remembered you posting about it!! And it was delicious! So now I can use up a little more of the jar..thankingyoU! (and a good one for the lunchboxes too, I’m thinking). 🙂

Nut free so if the girls like tahini a good one for lunch boxes at school. Try tahini with honey on sourdough for breakfast. Another blogger recommended it, and ohhh…I haven’t looked back.

Jane last week, we had 4 kinds of cake, I had cake overload and desperately needed a little healthy something infused back in my life. The tahini balls seemed to do it as they still give a sweet hit.
